Have you been able to do a range check on the receiver? Considering how far you were out I would test it at about 100 yards or more. This is assuming that the crash was at about 50+ yards distance.

How far away did the crash happen or what was the distance at which the glitching occurred ?

Both incidents occured at a minimum of 50 yds. I am using a new receiver. Will maiden tomorrow.
