which is better??, slash-sc10-or strike

need some ideas for a x-mas present for my son, which is better??? the slash from traxxas? or the sc-10 from associated or losi strike????
i know when i ran rc trucks years ago the rc-10 was a great truck... and traxxas stuff was so-so???
any input???

of the three, the most reliable is the Slash followed by the SC10 and the losi has had some problems......... the blitz by HPI is a real good choice also.... that would be the one I would get and is the one I want...

As my opinion i like strike truck so much but it is more expensive.It has a higher quality electronics. The 12T motor should make it one of the fastest out of the box.when it comes to off road, Team Losi is one of the leaders in producing race winning buggies and trucks.The strike truck is very cheap and it is very competitive in our local racing scene. The high center of gravity is a disadvantage during racing. But for bashing, the high center of gravity is good, allowing you to travel over rocks without getting hung up.
